The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has expanded its Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) website to improve public accountability and provide additional information on the timeliness and quality of benefits provided to veterans, the VA announced on July 1.

VBA website now includes performance and productivity data

VA Secretary Eric K. Shinseki said that the addition of performance and productivity data to the VBA supports the VA's "commitment to public transparency by sharing performance and productivity data in the delivery of benefits, including compensation, pension, vocational rehabilitation and employment, education, home loans, and insurance."

The new initiative, ASPIRE for Productivity, is part of VA efforts to improve the type of benefits and services available to veterans. The site features detailed regional information on claims processing and productivity goals.
