The Department of Veterans Affairs recently announced that the 2010 annual VA Facility Safety and Quality Report is now available for review. The report presents findings relative to industry-standard measures on the quality of VA health care. This year's report gives higher marks to VA health care than private sector plans. At the same time, the report uncovers areas for improvement such as quality of care for women and ethnic minorities. To respond to these areas, the VA is coordinating programs that educate VA staff to the needs of these groups. The report is available for public review on the VA Website.
