Colleges Near Vandenberg Air Force
Vandenberg Air Force Bases stretches across thirty-five miles of Pacific coastline ten miles northwest of Lompoc, California. Base residents enjoy a mild climate of about 60 to 65 degrees F. throughout the year, with temperatures averaging 75 degrees in the summer months. The beaches are certainly an area attraction; however, servicemembers are permitted to swim only on the base's civilian beaches. Fishing, clamming and hiking are some of the area's favorite activities.
