Colleges Near USCG TRACEN Petaluma
USCG TRACEN Petaluma is the Coast Guard's largest training center on the West Coast, graduating cooks, medics, storekeepers, yeomen, information and electronics technicians, and operations specialists.
The base, spanning more than 800 acres, is situated just west of Petaluma, California, a Victorian riverfront city with a mild Mediterranean climate. Opportunities for fun include farm trails, film fests, farmers markets, microbreweries, shopping, museums, antiques, galleries, theater, camping, wineries, kayaking and events. Nearby are the wine-producing valleys of Napa and Sonoma, Point Reyes National Seashore and the city of San Francisco.
