Located on the Hudson River in West Point, NY, the United State Military Academy (USMA) is a four-year co-educational institution whose mission is training cadets to be Army officers. Started in 1802, West Point has trained many of our top military leaders, including Generals Grant, MacArthur, Patton, and Petraeus to name a few of the more than 50,000 graduates. The Academy has a 1:8 instructor ratio for the 4,400 Corps of Cadets student body.
