Colleges Near San Diego Navy
San Diego Navy Base is located outside San Diego, population 1,255,540, and is the homeport to approximately 60 Navy vessels. The base, residing on 77 acres of land and 21 acres of water, was deeded to the U.S. government in 1919, with the Navy acquiring it in 1921. During World War II, the base was named the U.S. Navy Repair Base San Diego. After the war, it was renamed to its current name with the mission of supporting the Pacific Fleet.

As a treating intern, you will gain first-hand knowledge of working in a clinical environment. You will have the opportunity to work at both our campus clinic and our off-site externships located at hospitals, clinics, and designated treatment sites. Working alongside acupuncturists, medical doctors, physical therapists, counselors, and fellow students, you’ll have the opportunity to treat different types of patients, and to put your classroom knowledge into practice.
