Point Mugu Naval Air Station (NAS) is located in the Naval Base Ventura County, California. The base encompasses three operating facilities on the Southern California coast. NAS Point Mugu has 36,000 square miles for testing various weapon systems. The test ranges are used not only for testing operational readiness, but also training on the different systems. For over fifty-seven years, Point Mugu has played a key role in research, development and testing of missile systems.
