The Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (JRB) Willowgrove, is located 30 miles from Philadelphia. Currently, NAS JRB Willowgrove employs approximately 1,550 active duty and 365 civilians. They support more than 2,000 joint reserve personnel from 16 tenant and 19 reserve units.

The Willowgrove JRB assists the full range of Navy, Marine Corps, and Pennsylvania Air National Guard and Army Guard units. These include A-10 and C-130 aircraft, CH-53 helicopters, soldiers on the ground and sailors on ships. Many of the units from NAS JRB Willowgrove deploy to Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as to countries around the globe.
