Little Rock AFB, located 25 miles northeast of the Arkansas capital city of Little Rock, has a population of approximately 13,500. Founded in 1955, Little Rock AFB is home to the 144th Airlift Wing and the 189th Airlift Wing of the Arkansas National Guard. This base is the only C-130 aircrew training base for the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. allies.
