Fort Story, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at Cape Henry, combines dunes, beaches, forest, and open land. The base, home to 1,228 active duty, 826 reservists, 6,102 family members and 163 civilians, is also the location of three historical sites: The Cape Henry Memorial Cross, the Old Cape Henry Light, and the Battle of the Virginia Capes Monument.

Fort Story: Colleges, Recreation, and More
You won't need to travel very far to get a Fort Story education. There are two Fort Story colleges right on Army post: Bryant College and Stratton College. Soldiers can earn degrees in general studies and criminal justice programs or pursue degrees and certificates from any number of online colleges.
There are also plenty of places to relax after a long day or just take a quick study break. Recreation at Fort Story includes bowling, library, auto hobbies, recreation center, theater, gym, tennis, swimming, outdoor activities, camping, and fishing. Or, hit the beach for a little sand and surf time.
