Absolutely! Wyotech, a technical school with 6 campuses located in 4 different states, is listed in the Veterans Affairs Weams Institution Search page as an approved Institute of Higher Learning. That means that it is a properly accredited school that can confer a traditional college degree and has been reviewed by a state approving agency. Wyotech offers a selection of associates degrees in mechanical and other technical fields, and is definitely covered.
Wyotech also offers a wide variety of other programs leading to licensing or certification in specific technical fields. Because Wyotech also offers traditional degrees, these non-degree programs are covered by the new Post 9/11 GI Bill.
if you are eligible for the Post 911 GI Bill we have a campus that the VA will pay 100% of your tuition and fees. We also give free housing (fully furnished apartment all utilities paid) to all honorably discharged veterans at that location. What that means to you is you pocket the book allowance and BAH from the Post 911 GI bill you rate! That is over $13000 in 9 months! Our program is 9 months long with the 1st six months being your core program of Diesel, Auto, or Collision/refinishing. The last 6 months is the specialty of your choosing. Specialties range from High Performance Power Trains, Street Rod and Custom Fabrication, MotorSports Chassis Fabrication, Light Duty Diesel, Trim and Upholstery, and even management which is an associates degree program. We offer lifetime placement assistance and all our students receive a 50% discount on snap on tools. We are close to booking up all classes for the remainder of the year so if you might be interested in enrolling please contact me via email. gjoy@cci.edu
Good information! Thanks Greg.

does it pay for all of it or do i have to pay some
The Post 9/11 GI Bill pays tuition and fees up to the in-state maximum. If the school charges more, and they are a Yellow Ribbon school, the school could pay up to half of the difference and the VA would pay an equal amount. If they are not a Yellow Ribbon school, then you would have to pay the difference. Under the Post 9/11 GI Bill, you also get a housing allowance and book stipend.

Does WyoTech in Daytona (Ormond Beach) accept the Post 9/11 GI Bill?
WyoTech is a VA-approved school, however, it looks like all their programs are non-degree programs, which means the Montgomery GI Bill would be a better choice for the programs taught at this school.
If you have already switched to the Post 9/11 GI bill, be sure you get VA approval before enrolling as I don’t think the Post 9/11 GI Bill will pay for any of the courses at this school.

Hi so I am currently deployed and it is my first deployment here in iraq I am national guard I will have a total of 1 year active deployment. can I still receive the yellow ribbon and post 9/11 I am confused right now. I am just looking at my options when i am done like if i will be able to live off school or do I need to get a part time job???
Thanks in advance
You will be eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill after 90-days on Title 10 orders. With a typical one-year deployment, you should be at the 60% mark. Under Reserve/Guard rules, you should also qualify for the Yellow Ribbon program.
